Remember your first Yoga class?  It felt exciting, rejuvinating, and like you were moving into unchartered waters.  Leaving you with a sense of delight to do it again! 
 
Yoga is a long term relationship with yourself.  You are making time for you to reenergize and enjoy the movement of your body.  To continue to grow your yoga practice Sunrise Yoga suggests...
 
  • Creating an intention or dedication for your yoga practice maybe for yourself, family, friends, people in the community, etc, can create a sense of service or giving back to others and to you. 
 
  • Bring a friend with you to class to enjoy the experience with someone you enjoy spending time with.  During a yoga class, you are in your own space, on your mat, and tapping into your own inner strength.  When your friend is there with you, you have the support within yourself as well as the support of another person.
 
  • Feel your yoga poses!  Alignment is important and it assists with what your body is feeling in the pose.  When you are in a pose, move your body, maybe an arm, foot, finger, and see how that changes the feeling of your body within your pose.  Move, adjust, feel, and connect with your body.
 
  • Schedule a private lesson with a teacher.  Sometimes the best way to take your practice to a deeper and more powerful level is to have a private lesson.  During a private lesson, you will have a yoga experience created just for you.  You will be able to ask any questions and understand alignment in detail.  You may realize that keeping your body in a certain position during a pose is the key to transform other or all of your poses.
